Tintin Blackwell is a graphic designer based in Malmö, Sweden. She works primarily with visual communication through idea management, idea development, and design strategies. Simply put, she designs packaging, brochures, books, websites, logos, and graphic identities.
Tintin has a varied, international background: Swedish mother, American father, born in Greece, and raised in
Switzerland. Her educational foundation is an MFA in graphic design from HDK (School of Design and Crafts) in Gothenburg. Additional courses at CCA in San Francisco helped shape her typographic perspective. San Francisco’s creative hothouse also gave Tintin the opportunity to work with, among others, Raul Cabra and Martin Venezky. In 1998 she started her own design studio in Österlen, on southern Sweden’s Baltic coast. In 2005 she headed west again – her studio is now situated in Malmö’s celebrated Western Harbour.
Today Tintin works on a wide range of projects for
clients in many different fields. Most of her clients are currently
in Sweden, but can also be found in France, Switzerland, and the
United States.
